Certification UNI EN ISO 14001:2015

International Chips S.r.l. has obtained the UNI EN ISO 14001 certification in March 2003 through the Det Norske Veritas certification body; in December 2018 was upgraded to the standard ENI EN ISO 14001:2015.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

The Management of International Chips S.r.l., by recognizing that only the continuous improvement and the constant respect of the environment will allow the company to maintain and increase its market share, has developed an internal environmental management system according to UNI EN ISO 14001:2015.

The permanent objective of International Chips is to pursue the maximum satisfaction of all customers and stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, competent authorities, certification bodies, in full respect for the environment. International Chips also wants to ensure that third parties:

  • about the respect of the reference standards;
  • About the transparency of the system as a whole and the consequent possibility of verification;
  • about the regulatory compliance with the measures for the improvement of the environment protection;

In order to achieve the objectives aimed at ensuring the improvement of environmental performance, International Chips adopts a Management system based on certain fundamental principles:

 

Develop throughout the company the "culture" of the safeguard of the environment;

  • strive for the optimization of business processes in order to achieve the maximum level of efficiency and effectiveness in respect of environmental protection;
  • involve and guide the staff at all levels with the aim of improving professionalism in continual progression, and enriching knowledge, so that everyone can express his/her maximum full potential and take an active role in improving;
  • comply, in its work, with existing legislation and contractual agreements defined;
  • improve operational procedures to prevent any pollution;
  • define and review the objectives for environmental protection.
  • In order to achieve the objectives described above, the Management, undertakes to:
  • maintain the Environmental Management System according to UNI EN ISO 14001:2015
  • comply with Legislation, Rules and Regulations in force in the field of environmental protection;
  • adopt technologies and processes that offer the best environmental performance where reasonably feasible
  • train and continuously update, within the framework of the environment and safety, with a training and awareness program for the staff, training employees in the management of emergencies;
  • always asses in advance the environmental performance of new processes or new plants;
  • minimize the use of raw materials and natural resources, using materials whose use has the smallest possible risks for users and workers;
  • operate in order to reduce the production of waste in all processing phases;
  • operate a constant control on emissions into the atmosphere, efficiently utilize energy and water resources;

promote the continuous improvement of performance through the progressive adoption of the best management technologies and procedures available and through the maintenance and periodic renewal of the equipment, privileging the solutions that ensure the safety of workers and the minimization of noise and pollutant emissions into the atmosphere and the reduced energy consumption;
